  • Unlike the majority of pet care companies and apps, we do not use independent contractors. Our employees are insured, bonded, and have worker's compensation, disability benefits, and paid leave. This is great for them, and for you! Our walkers are carefully selected, background checked, and extensively trained in dog handling and cat care.

  • If you set a regular schedule, you will have a regular walker and a backup walker in the event your regular walker is sick. We think it's super important for dogs to have regularity!

  • Dogs love to socialize! We walk small groups of three or less depending on your dog's individual needs. We always take care to match dogs with similar temperaments. We will work closely with you to provide services that meet your dog's needs. We provide private walks for a small extra fee.

Bark & Bone has an all employee staff who are paid a living wage. Our staff consists of local pet owners and pet lovers. We carefully train our staff in safety and best handling practices. We treat your pet with the utmost respect because we know and understand what it's like to be a pet parent. In addition to our walkers and cat sitters, our managers are carefully overseeing the day's work to respond to your messages, calls, and emails.


  • Owner

    Olivia has been working with animals professionally for over a decade; first as a walker all over Brooklyn and then as the owner-operator of Bark & Bone since 2014. She is a member of the IACP and has extensive experience handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Outside of work, she spends most of her free time with her dog, Brook, and enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and wildlife conservation.
